Become a Christian

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."  (John 3:16)(NKJV)

Your heart tends to run from God and rebel against Him.  The Bible calls this "sin".  "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"  (Romans 3:23)(NKJV)

Yet God loves you and wants to save you from sin and offer you a new life of hope.  "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.  I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."  (John 10:10)(NKJV)

To give you this gift of salvation, God made a way through His Son, Jesus Christ.  "But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."  (Romans 5:8)(NKJV)(NKJV)

You recieve this gift by faith alone.  "⁸ For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, ⁹ lest anyone should boast."  (Ephesians 2:8-9)(NKJV)

Faith is a decision of your heart demonstrated the actions of your life.  "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."  (Romans 10:9)(NKJV)

If you are choosing right now to believe Jesus died for your sins and receive new life through Him, pray a prayer similiar to the following prayer to thank Him for your new life:

"Dear God, I know I am a sinner, I believe Jesus died to forgive me of my sins.  I now accept your offer of eternal life.  Thank you for forgiving me of all my sin.  Thank you for my new life.  From this day forward, I commit to follow you."
